"What befall the Earth "Something to Remember

This bears repeating again... Linda from "World of Spirit: Population Unknown"
posted this and I just had to pass this along..Its a lesson for all of us to remember
it should be part of our Constitution..Part of all laws man has written..
All men are created equal and the earth does not belong to man..What befalls the earth befalls to all...this bears passing on...

"What befalls the earth befalls all the sons of the earth.
This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth.
All things are connected like the blood that unites us all.
Man does not weave this web of life. He is merely a strand of it.
Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself."
-Chief Seattle (1786-1866)

hey girl - this is one of my all time favorite quotes too! i nearly posted it myself several times the last few weeks -

my today post at travel journal is on intention - and how we each can impact our physical environment by out thoughts -

it seems to me that this is THE TIME for our collected POSITIVE THOUGHTS AND INTENTIONS if ever there was one - so i'm trying focus on what we CAN DO and not be overwhelmed by all that we CANNOT seem to do in light of this gulf tragedy -

haven't seen you around much lately, lady - been missin' you but know you've got a bunch of stuff going on - i'm headed out shortly to go pick up paint supplies - i've really been in the mood to do another large canvas -

anyway, great post, marlene!!!

Chief Seattle was a very wise man. We both used his quotes on our blogs! And it's so true that we belong to the Earth. Whenever another species becomes extinct it will eventually effect us. The current oil spill is sad proof of that...

hey lady - listen, i could swear when i was here earlier that i left a comment??? my mind is a terrible thing to lose - anyway, neat post - i love this quote from the chief and had it tucked away to post myself - what a mess this all is - but i'm thinking that we must focus on the positive - and all of begin "seeing" the best possible outcome not just for the gulf but the planet in all ways -

Chief Seattle was a very smart man. Have you ever heard about the "butterfly effect"? Buckminster Fuller spoke about Spaceship Earth fifty years ago.

It certainly is the truth. A fundamental truth. Maybe the most important truth. And one that we have been totally blind to seeing.

Perfect QUOTE to live by, one of my fav's.

Hey Marlene, make sure you put several coats of a matte sealer on it to pertect it for years to come, the dresser project that is. Buff the sealer after it sets up with a dish pad you know the natural ones like the greeen scrubing pads for pots and pans it will really have luster to it.

I know you will just love it, you can add your own touch to it with top layering sayings as I di and words that will pop! I am here to help you!!

THANK-YOU FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP.

I don't know where the picture is from but I want to be there.
I thought of these three words a few years ago - Idealism is abstract - But we should still try to make the abstract a reality.
