New look for my mantel....

Well I said I would never do it.. I loved my Beach painting I had for 6 years over my mantel

and never wanted to change it.... but during my shopping travels... I happen to come across

this wonderful stretched canvas photo of trees for a steal of a price....and I bought it with the thought of bringing into my booth....but when I had it in my living room....I put it on my mantel on a whim and just love it....for now it will stay...

Wow, that looks great. Don't you just love the "I bought it to sell and had to try it out at home first" trick ?? It looks great and is surely a keeper !!
Have a great weekend,

Just perfect, Marlene! I love the serenity of it. It reminds me of the photographs you just took on your "drive" but in black and white!

Its beautiful Marlene and looks perfect.
I really enjoyed your photos from the previous post too, so relaxing and refreshing. I can almost smell the fresh air on the drive.
Hope your weekend is going nicely.

Hi Marlene!!!
First let me start off by saying it's okay for you to take the well deserved time off from your computer. Don't feel guilty about doing so...it's good that you can just step away and get what matters to you most accomplished!!!

That picture above your mantle is PERFECT!!! I love the creams and browns so I'm kind of partial to it...I think it's very relaxing and very neutral.

I loved the ride with you and Toby...what a peaceful road!!!

And lastly...I wish I could have hit your garage sale yesterday!!! I'm sure you had lots of goodies!!!

Good luck with your kitchen remodel and I hope the dogs don't bite anyone :)

It's lovely. I like to change things up a bit sometimes. Often it is just a matter of moving things around and you have a whole new look and feel in a room.
